About the Roaster

Taylor Holyszko is the head roaster and Owner of Tosco Fino and Red Thread Food Group. With a career that spans being an executive sushi chef to working in technology as a data analyst, product manager, director of customer success and now professional coffee roaster since 2021. His attention to detail and delivering passion to both people and foods has led him to create not just another roasting company in Tosco Fino, but an idea for an opportunity of change. Having studied political science, and firmly believing that change must happen on both sides of the social contract, he decided to put it all together in Red Thread Food Group. With Tosco Fino he found the way to make a difference was to directly start addressing the imbalance in the coffee industry, primarily in the recognition of women, and to address the immense value they produce, but depressingly unbalanced equity they receive. That is why Tosco Fino is committed to providing a platform for female farmers, producers, baristas and owners through the value chain of coffee to begin to see more recognition, higher wages, and better working conditions.

Change begins with all of us, and all of us need to come together and start to address the inequity of the coffee industry.
