What's your story?
Maximiliano Puchulutegui, known as Puchu, is an Argentine graphic designer and illustrator born in Buenos Aires and trained at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He currently lives and works in Barcelona as an art director in advertising.
With a career that began in 2005 in design studios, he now focuses his practice on illustration under the pseudonym PUCHU.DESIGN, developing his own visual universe where surrealism, fantastical creatures, and symbolic imagery, all imbued with color and intention, coexist.
His work moves between the conceptual and the emotional, exploring themes such as identity, desire, and contemporary contradictions. He has participated in exhibitions and design fairs in Europe and Latin America, expanding his artistic language to various formats such as editorial illustration, murals, textile design, album covers, and branding projects.
His work also maintains a commitment to the visibility and representation of the LGBTQ+ community, naturally incorporating this perspective into his visual discourse.
In parallel, he develops a musical practice as a DJ and producer of experimental electronic music, integrating sound and image in audiovisual pieces that expand his creative universe.
